The helmet works...mostly. The hearing protection doesn't fit well. I don't think it's really a Makita product. All the lables are "Tasco."
I wouldn't buy this again, but I use it regularly. If I buy another I would look for something built more rugged.

As far as I can tell, the item I was shipped was not manufactured by Makita. It arrived and I use it... and perhaps the company name on the paperwork is some sort of subsidiary, but I was sort of expecting something a bit more rugged feeling. All plastic all the time and not what I would call a precision design. Feels cheap, but so far, it does what it is supposed to do. Perhaps all protective helmet combo units of this type FEEL cheap. But perhaps not? This one does. That DOES MAKE IT LIGHT however. Perhaps that was the tradeoff...

I used this Forrestry helmet a couple times now, and its sturdy enough for me to give it a good rating. The helmet is kinda heavy. I use it for stump grinding, so my review is limited to standing in mostly one space working with the helmet. To be honest, I would trust U.S.A made any day of the week vs some poorly made China gear.

I am addicted to Mauna Loa Macadamia nuts. I normally buy them from Costco where they are very reasonable in price. Because of the shortage, I gave in to looking on the internet and came across these from Amazon. They are smaller and only halves, but just as good. I would give them 5 stars, but the price keeps it from getting there when you can buy them locally. (They have become available again at some Costco stores.) I have tried several brands and packages from other suppliers. Mauna Loa is the best by far.

Mauna Loa is definitely my favorite macadamia nut, and I've had a subscription for these so I could enjoy them on a regular basis. Unfortunately the price has now jumped a ridiculous amount, they went from $22 to $35!! Sorry, I can get them MUCH cheaper at Costco. I like the convenience of using Amazon but not at that kind of markup.

These are the best Macadamia nuts available. I prefer the larger bags like this as the nuts are usually larger and more often whole as compared to the small cans. A smooth buttery taste and a sizable helping of "good" fats make these a great treat for everyone.

Hi, I am Ollie Wallock and I've made the race start machines referred to in the previous reviews. I have sold about 350 machines and have used this kit in all but about five. These devices are used to start sailboat races. My number one complaint has been that they are too loud. Indeed one major race organizer was threatened with a lawsuit. The other major complaint is that is that the diaphragms become corroded and refuse to vibrate. I am an oem and refer all my customers to this site to buy new trumpets as even I cannot get them any cheaper from the manufacturer.

The Wolo 415 Airsplitter Horn sounds just like it does on the website I visited during my research. However, the sound is one thing, how loud it is is another. I'ts about as loud, maybe slightly louder than a normal horn, it's not going to scare anyone or make someone think you're a semi-truck. While the quality of the product is great, they didn't supply enough tubing for the horns for my particular setup. Make sure you have room to mount these puppies. The air pump connects to the line that your existing 12v horn is connected to. Then you have about 2' of tubing to work with. There is also a slight (maybe 1/2 second) delay from when you hit the horn to when you hear the horn. This is possibly due to the additional tubing I purchased but, more than likely it is because the pump has to spin up the air. It may be the same on the standard application. All in all, I'm pleased with the product. Much better than my original tweety bird horn. It took about an hour to install because of space restrictions.

NO... 30 minutes is not how long it takes to cut something. It's about how long the saw lasted before becoming dull. Admittedly, it did cut quite well for the first 10-12 cuts. But then, it seemed to lose its ability to cut pine.

I was cutting off door jambs to install engineered flooring when it began to lose its edge. The wood was painted with multiple coats of paint. But, one wouldn't think that PAINT would dull a saw! The only other material I was cutting was the engineered flooring, which was all wood 'cept for the finish on the top "pretty" layer. Did I hit something awful when cutting off the jambs? Don't think so... But can't say for absolute certainty. Because of this I WOULD have given a rating of 4 stars. After all, it DID work OK for the first 30 minutes.

The issue that was far more frustrating than the loss of sharpness, and the reason for the rating of only 3 stars, is the blade would frequently slip out of the handle. The handle has a PLASTIC thumbscrew to secure the blade in the handle. The blade has no mounting holes, just a slot that slides on either side of the PLASTIC screw that is supposed to hold the blade in the handle. No matter how I tried to tighten the thumbscrew, the blade would slip out after 10-15 pull strokes. Because the screw was PLASTIC, I was afraid to use a pliers to tighten it more. The next saw of this type I buy will definitely have a better method of securing the blade to the handle!!

I needed to cut a few oak thresholds that were worn out and needed to be replaced. I could have used my mitre saw but I happened to stumble upon this saw. This was purely an impulse purchase.

After taking the time of reading several reviews offered on this product I realized that it would be worth checking out for the twelve dollar price.

I can confirm from my own experience that this should be considered a disposable saw, as I'm writing this review there is a replacement blade 10-2204 that costs 'almost' exactly as the complete saw - that's indicative of how cheesy the black plastic handle is on this "Shark Saw". I find that to be quite silly.

This saw cut three thresholds very much to my satisfaction, although I noticed that it did become a bit more dull after four cuts(I screwed one up).

Upon opening the package, I found my new ASUS Netbook, which is a cranberry/light burgundy color. It actually looks very nice and classy; love the color.

First off, I have read some reviews where people have stated that the unit is cheap, isn't solid, etc. I can tell you that IMHO, this is B.S. The chiclet keyboard is nice, if you like this technology as opposed to a regular keyboard. The unit feels VERY solid, light, user friendly, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Afer turning the Netbook on, Windows 7 Home Edition loaded and asked to input information in order to boot up for the first time and complete the initial setup. Everything went smoothly, including connecting to my Home Network which I had nothing but problems with the ACER Netbook.

Everything has been removed as far as trial programs which generally go over board when you first buy a computer. On the Netbook, there were only a few that I had to remove so offers to purchase trial software was not bad at all.

The only thing I don't like about this Netbook is the mousepad, which seems to be a common complaint with these type of computers. Not a big deal since an external/wireless mouse will be purchased. I just like the feel of a conventional mouse as opposed to a Netbook/Laptop Mouse pad.

I recently purchased a new Samsung TV on Amazon as well and received a free month trial to Netflix. I did try watching a movie on the Netbook and at first, frames froze and I experienced a lot of lag. I checked the movie settings and I had it on HD, which was the setting for my TV. I unchecked that selection and tried again with the Netbook. PERFECT! Movie was smooth and played as it should.

I decided to get an ASUS again, since I also purchased an ASUS laptop earlier this year. I have already used Technical Support and my experience was positive compared to other manufacturers.

I will paste new information and edit this review as I use the Netbook more, but so far so good. I love it!!!



Asus 1215P-MU17-RD Review by Ray

This is a cheap, consumer grade computer, so this review is written with that kept in mind. This is not a superstar product right out of the box, but it's easily worth the money paid:

Pros:
- Solid as a rock. Not a hiccup with any software loads or at any time. Stable, stable, stable.
- Very configurable with the intel atom n550 dual core processor
- Never gets hots even when running all day, with lots of work
- Keyboard is firm and feels good to the touch, even for a netbook
- Light and small enough to be very convenient, but the keyboard and screen are large enough for word processing, spreadsheets and just about any app, not just browsing the net. Comfortable typing
- Battery life is easily 8 hours, and if configured properly, would probably go longer
- Display is bright, crisp, easy to read even at 50%

Cons:
- Touch pad is typical netbook junk. Get a portable laser mouse.

The N550 only supports 2 gigs of RAM, but the RAM monitor (even with page file off) indicates only 35% usage. Who needs more RAM?
The power plug is tiny, but I've never seen or heard of this type breaking as some reviewers worry. It's perfect for this product, and won't just fall out or wear out like some connectors, such as my old Dell.

For $370, it would be great to keep another 1215P Seashell on the shelf like a second good pair of shoes, but that isn't practical given how soon electronics get outdated.

bought this for my son in 11th grade. He loves the portability and has no problem typing in the wider than the typical 10" Netbook. It is not blazing fast but adequate to download I-music and videos.
Battery life is around 5 hrs, video resolution is quite good. Easy to take to school and all around work horse.

Asus 1215P-MU17-RD Review by Ray

This is a cheap, consumer grade computer, so this review is written with that kept in mind. This is not a superstar product right out of the box, but it's easily worth the money paid:

Pros:
- Solid as a rock. Not a hiccup with any software loads or at any time. Stable, stable, stable.
- Very configurable with the intel atom n550 dual core processor
- Never gets hots even when running all day, with lots of work
- Keyboard is firm and feels good to the touch, even for a netbook
- Light and small enough to be very convenient, but the keyboard and screen are large enough for word processing, spreadsheets and just about any app, not just browsing the net. Comfortable typing
- Battery life is easily 8 hours, and if configured properly, would probably go longer
- Display is bright, crisp, easy to read even at 50%

Cons:
- Touch pad is typical netbook junk. Get a portable laser mouse.

The N550 only supports 2 gigs of RAM, but the RAM monitor (even with page file off) indicates only 35% usage. Who needs more RAM?
The power plug is tiny, but I've never seen or heard of this type breaking as some reviewers worry. It's perfect for this product, and won't just fall out or wear out like some connectors, such as my old Dell.

For $370, it would be great to keep another 1215P Seashell on the shelf like a second good pair of shoes, but that isn't practical given how soon electronics get outdated.

bought this for my son in 11th grade. He loves the portability and has no problem typing in the wider than the typical 10" Netbook. It is not blazing fast but adequate to download I-music and videos.
Battery life is around 5 hrs, video resolution is quite good. Easy to take to school and all around work horse.

I read a lot of reviews and debated this purchase. After several more nights of charlie horses and sore hips due to being six months pregnant, I buckled. It took a little adjustment to figure out how to hug it and have it snug you in, but once I did, I have been sleeping well. It does take up some space in the bed, but we have a king, so it's not too bad. The fabric cover is not a 400 thread count, but it's not scratchy or noisy like I read about some of the other pillows. It is nice to switch sides without knocking over lots of different pillows and easier to get repositioned after getting up.

I was nervous to purchase this pillow, based on some other reviews about the seam in the fabric being uncomfortable. I am so glad I ignored those reviews and made the purchase! It is wonderful and has transformed my nights. I've been sleeping with this pillow for about two weeks, and I love it. This is my third pregnancy and through the other two I always had the j-shaped pillow. That was great, but I had to flip it over as I changed sides throughout the night. As I got larger and larger throughout the pregnancy, it became increasingly harder to flip that pillow over (as well as to flip myself over!). With this fantastic, comfortable pillow, you can just roll over and snuggle into the other side all night long. The pillow height is great, and you could always stick another pillow on top of the head support if you wanted to be propped up higher. This pillow is the perfect length for me (5'8"). I love that I can just curl up in it and it supports my head, back, belly and legs. The only con against this pillow is that it's very difficult to get out of the bed at night. I found that lifting the one side over my head and crawling under seems to be the solution. It's sort of cumbersome to try to climb over the top of the pillow and flop off the bed. Also, if you have anything other than a king-sized bed, this pillow might be a little larger than you'd like. My husband and I have plenty of room with the king-sized bed, but we'd be crowded in a queen. I love the removable cover, too. I've already washed it a couple times, and the zipper made it a breeze to get off and on.

This pillow was well worth the investment! I bought it when I was about 28 weeks pregnant and wish I had purchased it much sooner. It's provided much needed support to my back, belly, and hips. I'm 36 weeks along now and still have far fewer restless nights. We have a queen bed and my husband, the pillow, and I all fit very comfortably. I recommend this product to everyone!

The iSlice Opener works very well cutting through as many as 4 pages of coupons (most I've tried). The blade protrudes slightly more than the Slice Safety Cutter (which I also purchased at the same time) so it cuts through more pages. Very easy to use. Love that it is magnetic.

Back when I accidently let my letter opener get mangled by my shredder, I started looking for a replacement here on Amazon. I did find a replacement and bought it but in the process ran across this little cutter as well. Since I often use a small razor knife to cut open boxes and cut out coupons this sounded ideal so I got one of these as well.

This little cutter has turned out to be very useful for a lot of things so I find myself using it all the time. I would have given it five stars except for two things.

1. Contrary to their description this cutter *WILL* damage the page under the one you are cutting! I've found it best in these situations to slip a piece of scrap paper between the pages to protect the page underneath.

2. The silver paint they use to paint the tip is cheap, it started coming off almost from day one. It would have been better if they hadn't painted it at all so I removed the rest of the paint to keep its flakes from being scattered everywhere.

Someone reviewing the green version of this cutter complained that this one didn't have a hole to hang it from like the green one did. Idiot! Haven't you ever heard of a drill? If you want a hole to hang the cutter, make one!

if you don't like flower type of fragrance, infusion d'iris can still be appealing to you: it definitely has a warmth to it.
the longevity of the scent is not the best, probably 4 hours.

Love ths scent. Several years ago, while whining of my limited success in finding perfumes that don't give me headaches, a French perfumer in Cincinnati told me to only wear perfumes from France or Italy, as they still use the flowers/essences themselves. According to her, the majority of the scents manufactured in the U.S. are made from chemicals and that is the cause of the headaches in most perfume-sensitive people. I have taken her advice ever since and have had no more perfume headaches.
This Infusion D'Iris is a very LIGHT scent from Italy (Prada) which I find to be particularly important because I spend a lot of my time in the humid tropics where anything strong can become overpowering in a heartbeat.
This particular item is a great find for I have spent many more $$$ elsewhere for only half as much of it. Thanks, Amazon :-)
